Bismillah~ and of course, assalamualaikum and hello to fellow readers.

So, this post will be about the school's prefects. I'm not one of them, so you can just assume this as a view from a normal student who's deeply concerned about our school's prefects. Well, you might have this little uneasy feeling while reading this post as it will be a bit offensive to some of you guys, but hey, siapa yang termakan cili, dia yang terasa pedasnya.

So here goes nothing (I guess)…

Well, to be honest, I don’t think most of the prefects for BPP Sesi 2011/2012 are qualified to be one – or even to be called as a prefect. And there aren’t that much of you guys either. There are 89 of you guys the prefects and one head boy; making you guys a complete 90. Sadly, out of this 90 people, more than half of you guys did not do your work properly (mostly during recess time).

And what I meant by not doing your work properly are:

» You talk while doing your duty.

Not that I’m saying that you have to keep a straight face while doing your duty that you might as well be mistaken as a robot. No, not that. Of course you can say hi to your friend who are passing by and smile. But, going to a friend’s table and chit-chatting with him/her when you’re supposed to do your duty is just a BIG NO! How’s that fair to the other prefects who are doing their job diligently? Control yourself before trying to control other students.

» You eat while doing your duty.

This is serious. How are you supposed to watch over the students when you yourself are eating? Unless, you have a super-power that enables you to do so, then it’s fine. But as far as I’m concerned, none of the students or the prefects has the ability, so yeah; it’s not fine. The prefects are given permission to go out 10 minutes earlier than the rest of the students. I understand if the time is too short for you to eat, because some of the teachers just won’t let the prefects out, and sometimes, you just eat too slow (I don’t blame the slow eater, I’m one of them, too). But usually, your leader will let you finish your meal, therefore, there’s no reason for you to eat while doing your duty. Am I right or am I not?

» You don’t do your work.

This is super duper chronic. Some of the prefects just don’t do their duty at all (mostly during recess time). Those two types above are way better than this type of prefect. At least, they did something. And for this type of prefect, there’s no other way for them to be dealt with. Just give them the pink slip. The end. We don’t need a good for nothing prefect. The 7 marks you’re getting for your co-cu is meaningless. And for the Muslims, you know yourself that leaders are the first to be questioned later at the Akhirat. What testimony do you have to prove that you did your job well as a leader when there’s nothing you’ve done? Pegang kepada amanah yang pihak sekolah/cikgu-cikgu dah bagi kepada kamu; itu semua akan ditanya nanti.

‘Pemimpin pelajar’ is the term used for the prefects in our school; but are you guys really ‘memimpin pelajar’? Just like our Principal has said before, help yourself before helping others. Lead yourself before ever trying to lead other people. To be honest, from my view, some of the normal students are even better from the prefects. I’m sorry to say this, but sadly, that’s the fact.

I, herewith, have two things that I would like to ask from you guys:

» Don’t make me regret for not applying last year.

It’s not that I’m saying that the Prefectorial Board would be way better with me in the organization. No, I’m not that good either. But at least, I will have the say. Just this morning, I told (more to beg-tell actually, if you see my expression) a prefect to not to talk while doing duty. But what did get as a respond? Not a ‘thank-you-for-reminding-me’ but, ‘I-don’t-care’. I was extremely upset with this kind of attitude that this person showed. Sure, we’re friends, but, that kind of attitude is just a no-no, even though this person was just joking. Plus, the PKPP is taking their job very seriously now.

So, just please, guys, don’t make me regret for not applying last year, will you?

» As a student in this school, I deserve to have better prefects. Work together as leaders, and not just depend on your leader. Unity is strength.

I really hope this post will help you guys to reflect yourself. Let’s just take this as a little ‘help’ from a former member of Exco PKPP, shall we?

It’s funny that I care so much about BPP. I might be a normal student outside, but deep at the bottom of my heart, I’m still a prefect. Just so you know that the leader spirit in me has never died. I really really wanted to be one of you guys, for us to work together in leading the students, but I don’t have the chance. Again, I’m begging you guys to not make me regret more as I’m already regretting it now. And again, I apologise if my words hurt/offended you guys.

K & B, I have high hopes for you two. Please, and please, and please. It won’t be pleasant if visitors come and see how ‘perfect’ our prefects are, no? And, I’m trying very hard to not to talk to you guys during recess time. So please, don’t ever trigger me to.

H, work with your assistants. They are meant to assist you, not to depend on you. They might as well be called as dependants, then. Work hard and smile and put that specs on. Oh, and hope you'll be reading this post not long after this post is posted.

P/S: K, H, B (lol XD) we might as well take this discussion to the meja bulat, I guess? Meja bersegi-segi is fine too, actually.

So, yeah that's what practically happened this afternoon. Sampai rumah, siap je masuk baju dalam lave-linge, terus meluru tengok/selak/baca newspaper, text kawan yang juga ada gambarnya, dan pergi scan :D

Actually, benda ni kami buat on 16th July~ Yep, two days before NKI Negeri Sembilan :D

I almost being replaced as one of the winner because, DUDE!! I don't have a banner and I don't even bother to have one and I don't know how to make one! But my f r i e n d , stopped this organizer from doing so :) I just love you, Ly :D
